Undeclared Advising

First & Second Year Advising

First years and sophomores should schedule an advising appointment with their Coordinated Care Advisor, who serves as their first point of contact. Connect with them using your SDSU Navigate account, under your Success Team.

  • Sign into SDSU Navigate.
  • Click on the blue Make Appointments | Find Drop-Ins button on the top right of the screen.
  • Under Other Option on the right side of the screen, click on Meet with Your Success Team.
  • On your left hand side under What type of appointment would you like to schedule, it should automatically filter for Academic Advising.
  • Under service select Major Advising/General Advising/Major Exploration
  • When the calendar appears on the screen, select the date and time that works best for you.
  • You will be sent a confirmation email with instructions on how to best utilize your virtual appointment.

Junior and Senior Advising

All Undeclared third year, juniors and seniors, without a Coordinated Care Advisor, should connect with the Undeclared Student Success Team. Email us at [email protected].

Always include your Name, student ID, and class year (Ex: Jane Doe, 12345678, Junior)

Undeclared Hold

All students with an Undeclared Hold will need to declare a major, or meet with the undeclared advisor and submit a Major Academic Plan to demonstrate progress in declaring a major. (All students receive a notification of the hold in their SDSU email).
