Personality Mosaic Assessment Workshop

12:30 pm to 1:30 pm

Lipinsky Hospitality Center - SSW 1608

In this workshop hosted by the Undeclared Student Success team, students will engage in a personality assessment designed to help them explore potential majors that align with their interests. Light snacks & refreshments will be provided and attendees will receive SDSU merch!

College of Sciences Undeclared Workshop

This event provides undeclared students the opportunity to build community in the College of Sciences while learning about their academic programs, major advisors, impaction criteria, and how to transition from pre-major to major status. A student-led discussion panel will also be included in the workshop.

This event will be hosted by the Interdisciplinary Studies in Three Department (IS3D) major and Undeclared Student Success.

Students who attend will be able to: 

  • Connect with academic advisors during drop-in hours
  • Engage with student leaders housed in FASS
  • Meet other students in the same programs
  • De-stress with Mandala coloring
  • Win some goodies!

Department of Linguistics and Asian/Middle Easter Languages Info Session

This event will provide visitors an opportunity to chat with us and with some of our current students about the various undergraduate majors, minors, and certificates offered by our department. We'll also have snacks available. Additionally, there will be presentations that are held both virtually and in-person that cover some of the specific degree programs we offer, so students who cannot make the in-person event can still attend virtually to hear about the program(s) they're curious about.

New Student Orientation

Assistant Dean & Undeclared Student Advising Session. By the end of the session, undeclared students will be aware of everything above AND will:

Be familiar with all advising tools used to successfully register for classes 
Become familiar with the Undeclared MyMAP and how to access other major maps 
Will go through step by step to develop their fall 2023 class schedule 
Upload their fall class schedule before leaving for the computer lab (via QR code which will take them to a short form) 

Post-New Student Orientation:

Undeclared students contact their CCA for general advising questions in SDSU Navigate (EAB)
CCAs will report on appointment and utilize notes when appropriate for quick student updates 
The Undeclared Office sends regular updates or announcements throughout the Academic Year via Canvas, email Newsletter, SDSU Navigate (EAB) text or email. Zoom text is also used for additional check-ins
